Polish TV programme featuring the EuroMI coordinator
We  present latest TV Polonia programme featuring Ewa Sadowska, the EuroMI coordinator, Agata Żuraw from the European Migrant Workers Union and Krzysztof Karszmicki the vice director of the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime. The problems of dishonest employers, job agencies and work camps were discussed in the programme. Eva Sadowska also explained the difference between the terms " free movement of workers" and "work migration".

It has already been a 7th cheated Pole who have returned home safely thanks to an effective help from the Barka Foundatiojn and its partners.
A family of Janusz G. lost touch with him a few weeks ago. Thanks to the Barka Foundation  intervention and various contacts with its partner organisation the family has managed to find its lost relative ( the programme begins in the 20th minute of the presented material)

A lost Pole in London.
 A family of a lost Polish citizen has contacted us on the 14th of November 2006. They recognised Janusz G. as he was being interviewd by a Polish news programme broadcast on Polish TV on the 12th of November 2007. Janusz G. featuring the programme was turned with his back to the camera but he asked the family in Poland for help. He said he loved his wife and hildren but he had no money to return home. We recognised the place were the interview took place. It was an entrance to one of London organisation providing assistance to the socially excluded. We gave the family contact details of a Polish volunteer working for the organisation. We are positive that the story will have a happy end.



Cheated Poles get back to Poland thanks to the Barka Foundation and its partner organisation.
6 Poles fell victims of a fake job agency which gave its job advertisement in one of the biggest Polish daily newspaper "Gazeta Wyborcza". PBME representatives met with the 6 people at the Luton airport and helped them to get to Victoria Station and to return home. This was possible thanks to support of a group of journalist.
