A lost Pole in London. A family of a lost Polish
citizen has contacted us
on the 14th of November 2006.
They recognised Janusz G. as he was being interviewd by a Polish
news programme broadcast on Polish TV on the 12th of November 2007.
Janusz G. featuring the programme was turned with his back to the
camera but he asked the family in Poland for help. He said he loved
his wife and hildren but he had no money to return home. We
recognised the place were the interview took place. It was an
entrance to one of London organisation providing assistance to the
socially excluded. We gave the family contact details of a Polish
volunteer working for the organisation. We are positive that the
story will have a happy end.
Cheated Poles get back to Poland thanks to the
Barka Foundation and its partner organisation.
6 Poles fell victims of a fake job agency
which gave its job advertisement in one of the biggest Polish daily
newspaper "Gazeta Wyborcza". PBME representatives met with the 6
people at the Luton airport and helped them to get to Victoria
Station and to return home. This was possible thanks to support of a
group of journalist.
